Trips leave from the C diamond C, into the rugged and scenic mountains of Northern New Mexico. The early Spanish Conquistadors termed this majestic range of tall peaks and valleys the “Sangre de Cristo” (Blood of Christ), for its extreme beauty and Heavenly nature.

The area known as the Carson National Forest, named after the, legendary, explorer and guide, Kit Carson, abounds with Wildlife. (Don’t forget your cameras). This area for hundreds of years; before explorers, trappers and settlers, brought here by the Santa Fe Trail in search of Gold and riches; was the home to Native Americans, a place of peace, prosperity and abundance, until the Spaniards came in search of the “Seven Cities of Gold”, “Cibola”. Cibola was never found, but legend has it, that the Indians led them far away from this sacred ground. ln fact, in the late 1800’s, the largest gold strike was found in the Moreno Valley, where the C Diamond C is located.

Whether you are looking for a rugged adventure, in search of the lost cities, or you want a romantic getaway, your time spent in this spectacular area will be one of the highlights of your vacation.

This is an incredible experience where you can connect with your child or mentee.
